Local businesses are the heartbeat of our community—and it’s crucial they get the support they need so they can continue to thrive and contribute to our city’s prosperity.
As a long-time resident of Victorville, I’ve seen firsthand how important local businesses are to our community’s success. That’s why supporting our local economy and creating a business-friendly environment is one of my top priorities as I run for Victorville City Council. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and it’s essential that we provide them with the support and resources they need to thrive. This belief was only reinforced during the National Night Out event, where I had the opportunity to connect with local business owners and residents alike.
Working Together to Cut Through the Red Tape
One of the things I heard from business owners is the need for a more streamlined process when it comes to setting up and growing a business in Victorville. Many have expressed frustration with the bureaucratic red tape that can make it difficult to start or expand their operations. Some folks told me they feel like they’re jumping through hoops just to get their business off the ground or to expand. That’s something I want to change.
I’m committed to addressing this issue by working to simplify regulations and make the process more transparent and accessible. I envision a Victorville where entrepreneurs feel supported, not hindered, by the system. This means creating a culture within our city government that is welcoming to businesses and proactive in offering the assistance they need to succeed.
Investing in Victorville’s Future
Victorville is full of potential, and our local businesses are a huge part of that. Whether it’s the cozy coffee shop you visit every morning, the family-owned hardware store that’s been around for decades, or the new startup that’s bringing fresh ideas to our city, local businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. As someone who’s lived here for a long time, I know how important it is to support these businesses, and that’s why it’s one of my main focuses as I run for City Council.
If I’m elected, I’m committed to making the process easier for business owners. Whether it’s streamlining the paperwork or offering more support from the city, my goal is to create a business-friendly environment where entrepreneurs can thrive. After all, when our local businesses succeed, our whole community benefits—more jobs, more services, and a stronger local economy.
Join Me in Supporting our Business Community
What struck me most during National Night Out was the passion and dedication of these entrepreneurs—they’re invested in Victorville’s success, and they’re eager to see our city grow and thrive. By making it easier for local businesses to succeed, we’re investing in the future of our city. I’m excited to work with business owners, city staff, and residents to create an environment where entrepreneurship can flourish. Let’s build a thriving economy together—one that benefits everyone in Victorville.
